The Thameside Nature Discovery Park in Essex is situated on the Thames Estuary. Run by the Essex Wildlife Trust, it has 120 acres of unique habitat for coastal and wetland wildlife. Many species can be spotted here including barn owls, water voles, short eared owls, the harvest mouse, skylark, cuckoo and shrill carder bee. Nature parks and reserves like Thameside are perfect locations for bird watching activities and science workshops for kids.
