The canal network running across the UK played a vital role in the Industrial Revolution. It was the first nationwide canal network in the world! Housed in a Victorian warehouse at Gloucester Docks, the Gloucester Waterways Museum tells the story of the UK’s innovative system of canals and waterways. The museum collection showcases a range of boats and machinery including narrowboats, river barges, canal and river tugs, steam-powered dredger, a steam crane and a heavy oil engine.

The Professor Bubbleworks team would love to inspire the next generation of engineers and inventors so they can build upon this legacy of ingenuity.

We offer engaging science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM) workshops in Gloucestershire. Our fully trained team members are experts in delivering exciting activities to kids between the ages of 4-11.

Whether your kids are in Gloucester, Cheltenham, Kingswood, Filton, Stroud or Yate – we can cover anywhere in the county.
