Throughout human history we have always been fascinated with our position on the planet, in the solar system and beyond. In Hereford, you can see the Mappa Mundi, the largest existing mediaeval map that illustrates how 13th-century scholars interpreted the world. This early mediaeval map reminds us of how far we have come in our ability to navigate and depict our surroundings using technology. People used to believe the Earth was flat!
