What is British Science Week?

Every year British Science Week inspires young people to celebrate science, technology, engineering and maths (STEM). The 10-day programme consists of thousands of events that run throughout the UK.

Our team has devised action-packed shows and workshops to inspire young people between the ages of 4 and 11. Dynamic activities have been created to compliment your science curriculum for each specific class and age group.

british science week, 5th - 14th March 2027

The 2027 theme “Creativity: the power of ideas” is an inspiring opportunity to spark pupils’ imagination and deepen their understanding of key topics such as states of matter, electricity, pressure, chemical reactions and materials. Creativity builds directly on 2026’s “Curiosity” – creative ideas grow out of curious questions. It encourages young learners to invent, innovate and think about how their ideas could improve people’s lives. The theme also emphasises the value of creative collaboration within STEM – as future inventors, scientists, engineers and mathematicians, pupils must learn to question, investigate, and work together to solve the challenges our world faces. This ethos is at the heart of our specialised shows and events.

Are you available in my area?

We visit all over the UK but please note that we accept bookings on a first-come first-served basis. Book your date now to avoid disappointment!

Are the workshops run inside or outside?

Our workshops are designed to run using an indoor space, we can however adapt the workshops to suit any type of facility. Please mention any special requirements when speaking to our team.

Do you offer visits for all types of schools?

We run workshops in both small and large primary schools. We can cater for Special Educational Need and Disabilities (SEND) and Social, Emotional and Mental Health (SEMH) requirements.

Are workshops suitable for EYFS, KS1 and KS2?

Yes! All our workshops are adapted to suit the age and learning level of each age-group making sure all children get the most out of our visits.
