World Oceans Day
World Oceans Day is an international day that encourages the public to think about the essential role that the oceans play in all our lives. The day brings awareness to the dangers that are facing our oceans and the actions we need to take to protect them.
Seventy percent of our planet is covered by one huge, continuous body of seawater called the global ocean. This is divided into five geographical regions: The Pacific Ocean, the Atlantic Ocean, the Indian Ocean, the Arctic Ocean and the Southern Ocean. The Professor Bubbleworks workshops encourage kids between the ages of 4-11, to look at the most urgent problems facing the ocean: plastic pollution and climate change. Through our lively science activities, kids will learn about the beauty of our oceans and what they can do to protect it.
